Also saddled with the responsibility of guiding the association and providing direction is a former president of the association, Mr. Aliyu Badaki, who now chairs the Board of Trustees of the hospitality management group.

Elected with Managwu, who is the first female president of the association from the academics, include Yunusa Muhammed (1st Vice President, Dr. Ibrahim Kukoyi (2nd Vice President), Ademola Reuben Igbo (Financial Secretary), Ayodele Arokoyo (Assistant Secretary), Chimezie Mike (Publicity Secretary), and Felicia Peters (National Treasurer).

Others are Godwin Enanta (Zonal Chairman, Federal Capital Territory), Salisu Talle (Zonal Chairman, North West), Dr. Ndidi Ezeibe (Zonal Chairman, South East), Alheri Jibi Zim (Zonal Chairperson, North East), Adetola Olagunju (Zonal Chairperson, South West), Charity Abu (Zonal Chairperson, North Central), and Dr. Ebikaboere Seimodei (Zonal Chairperson, South-South).

In her acceptance speech, Managwu promised to take the association to greater heights, while urging the newly elected members of the executive committee to bring their wealth of experience to bear in providing leadership in the industry.

“We shall work very hard to justify this confidence and trust in our new leadership,” she stated. “Even though we can’t do it all alone, we shall lead by example, intentionally committed to sacrificially growing our association and, to a large extent the entire industry, through collaboration and partnerships.”
