The United Progressive Party (UPP) has unveiled its candidate for Idemili-North State Constituency, Anambra State Assembly bye-election scheduled to hold on Saturday, 18th November 2017, alongside the State’s Governorship Poll.
He is Chinedu Emmanuel Nwoye-Nechi. A graduate of Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, Anambra State, Nwoye-Nechi emerged as the UPP flag-bearer in the Party’s Primary Election held on 28th October, 2017.
He is the new face of Idemili-North State Constituency and promised to offer effective representation to the good people of the constituency and take it to the next level.
Nwoye-Nechi urged eligible voters to turn out en masse and Vote for UPP in the Idemili-North State Constituency bye-election and the Governorship poll both slated for November 18.
He urged politicians to imbibe issue-based politics and eschew violence and rigging that have impeded the nation’s political process.
Nwoye-Nechi enjoined the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to provide a level playing field for all the candidates and their political parties participating in both the Idemili-North State Constituency bye-election and the gubernatorial poll.
He expressed confidence that the UPP Governorship flag-bearer, Chief Osita Chidoka will emerge victorious in the November 18 election, stating that he is the best qualified candidate for the poll and has articulated the best manifesto that will transform Anambra State and provide dividends of democracy to the longsuffering populace if elected as the next Governor of the State.
