Aimed at celebrating the diverse and hidden talents of its employees beyond their daily routines, the “APM Terminals Got Talent”, which was hosted recently in the company’s premises at the Lagos Port Complex, Apapa, brought together employees from various departments of the company, who were eager to showcase their skills.

Themed, “Lifting Industry Talents,” the event charged the atmosphere with excitement and camaraderie as colleagues cheered and supported one another in the wide array of performances featured, including acting, singing, instrumental music and dynamic dance routines.

According to the Terminal Manager, Steen Knudsen, fulfilled at the creativity and versatility that the employees exhibited at the show, “we are celebrating our staff for their creativity and skills through performances. APM Terminals is committed to delivering for our customers, and it is equally important to recognise the amazing people who make that possible.

“Today, we celebrate both our employees and contractors. We are an amazing family and this event highlights the energy and passion they bring to work every day, creating a fun and engaging workplace.”

Excited at winning the talent show, a storekeeper in the kitchen department, Olawale Zacchaeus, said he was very surprised and “wasn’t expecting this at all. At first, I was scared of the crowd, but I managed my nerves and enjoyed the experience.”

Zacchaeus, alongside Ade Oviaye, who came second, and the third-placed Emmanuel Afolayan were rewarded with exciting prizes in appreciation of their talents and dedication, just as the other participants expressed unbelief at the amazing hidden talents of their colleagues, and the exceptional bonding that the event created among colleagues.

APM Terminals Apapa is Nigeria’s largest container terminal and a key player in the country’s maritime and logistics sector. Located in Lagos, it serves as a major gateway for trade in West Africa, handling a significant portion of the country’s import and export cargo.
