Commending MWUN for the choice of Erazua, SCAN expressed excitement at the vision and energy he brings to this role, stating that his vision and experience will help MWUN tackle the challenges within the maritime industry and promote a stronger and more united workforce.

In a statement, SCAN President, Moses Ebosele, said Erazua’s appointment into this important leadership position marks a significant progress for the union, while expressing confidence that he will bring invaluable insights and dedication to this role.

Ebosele noted that with Erazua’s robust background in maritime advocacy, he has been a fierce champion for the rights and welfare of maritime workers throughout his career.

Therefore, “his commitment to fostering better working conditions and promoting safety standards will undoubtedly contribute to the development of Nigeria’s maritime sector,” he added.

According to the statement, SCAN recognises the vital role that MWUN plays in representing maritime workers and advocating for their rights.

Going forward, “we anticipate a continued exciting era of increased dialogue and collaboration between maritime workers and industry stakeholders,” it added.
