NLNG Shipping and Marine Services Limited (NSML) and Temile Development Company have signed a Letter of Intent to construct a Very Large Gas Carrier (VLGC) at the Hyundai Heavy Industries Company Limited shipyard in South Korea.
Commending the NSML partnership with the Temile management, NSML Managing Director, Abdulkadir Ahmed, said on the sidelines of the contract signing ceremony in London on Wednesday that it came on the back of the highly successful supervision of the LPG Alfred Temile 10.
The strong and collaborative relationship between NSML and Temile has driven advancements in maritime operational excellence, both locally and internationally, a statement from the NLNG General Manager, External Relations and Sustainable Development, NLNG, Sophia Horsfall, cited Ahmed to say.
The construction supervision services are anticipated to commence from February 2027 up till the delivery of the vessel, which is scheduled for January 2028, in line with the vessel’s master schedule.
