President Muhammadu Buhari has renewed the tenure of Commodore Emmanuel Duja Effedua (rtd) as Rector of the Maritime Academy of Nigeria (MAN), in Oron, Akwa Ibom State.
First appointed on November 17, 2017, his appointment for a second term of four years takes effect from September 2, 2021, according to a statement from the Director, Press & Public Relations, Eric Ojiekwe.
The letter of reappointment was presented to him in Abuja Monday by the Permanent Secretary, Federal Ministry of Transportation, Dr. Magdalene Ajani, with the Director, Human Resource Management, Awwal Sani, in attendance.
Also appointed as the institution’s new Board Chairman was Rear Admiral Jacob Ajani (rtd), who will also assume duty on September 2, 2021.Ajani replaced Demola Seriki, who is now Nigeria’s Ambassador to Spain. The new Board Chairman will also.
