Breaking: FG approves postings for 95 ambassadors-designate

The Federal Government has finally approved the postings for ambassadors-designate to Nigerian Missions abroad.

In a statement by the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Gabriel Aduda, the posting, which was approved yesterday by President Muhammadu Buhari, comprised 43 career ambassadors and 52 non-career ambassadors.

“With this development, the process of requesting agreement from the prospective host-countries has commenced,” the statement read in part.

The ministry also disclosed that there would be an induction course for the ambassadors-designate and their spouses on a date to be announced, adding: “The exercise is to prepare and facilitate movement of the envoys to their respective missions.”

However, the ministry did not disclose their countries of assignment.
