In its continued drive at promoting a reading culture in Lagos State and beyond, the Golden ’93 alumni of Awori College, Ojo, has rewarded outstanding students in English and Mathematics in the school’s junior and senior secondary categories.
Speaking at the event held at the school premises at Ojo, Lagos State, President of the Old Students Association, Mr. Solomon Uwhubetine, urged the students to read and broaden their minds in order to develop mentally and physically.
“It is always a thing of joy to come back to the school where you had your second foundation,” he said. “We are starting with the award, to encourage you to read very well and be good ambassadors of this great citadel of learning. I know there will be competition now because it will be an annual event.”
Uwhubetine also hinted that the Golden ’93 (an association comprising the 1993 set) would continue to contribute immensely to the growth and development of the school.
