In a strategic redeployment towards enhancing operational efficiency and service delivery, the Director-General of the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA), Dr. Dayo Mobereola, has reshuffled the agency’s management staff.
Under the new structure, Moji Jimoh becomes the Director, Administration and Human Resources, Aishatu Jidda, Director, Planning, Research and Data Management Services, Isichei Osamgbi is Director, SERVICOM; Heaky Dimowo is Director, Legal Services/Board Secretary, and Olubusola Obasanjo-Akande as Director, Western Zone.
There are also Nneka Obianyor as Director of Reforms Coordination and Blue Economy, Christopher Amakulo as Director, Special Duties, Gloria Anyasodo as Director of Cabotage Services, and Salihu Yelwa as Director of Shipping Development.
Others include Umar Sidi as Director of Maritime Labour Services, Dr. Oma Ofodile as Director of Marine Environment Management, Buba Umar as Director of Abuja Zonal Office, and Ahmed Shittien as Special Adviser Technical to the DG.
Announcing the reshuffling, which affected 56 management staff, Mobereola explained that the redeployment reflected deliberate efforts to rejig operations, foster synergy among departments, and drive sustainable maritime development in Nigeria.
He urged the redeployed directors to bring their experience to bear and work collectively toward achieving the agency’s strategic objectives, according to the Head of Public Relations, Osagie Edward.
The director-general emphasised that the aim was to strengthen inter-departmental collaboration and inject new energy into the system to further improve performance across the maritime sector.
